Mister Popular

It's finally here...our baby is 7 MONTHS OLD!!!!...big sigh. I still can't believe it. People always say..you blink and they are all grown up...I believe it. We had our 7 month checkup and shots. Since Justin was off work that day...he got to go and experience the trauma.

Here is a picture of my two guys. Briggs loves to chew on ANYTHING these days. In this picture you can see him about to take a bite out of daddy's glasses. Our numbers this visit:

Weight: 20# 2 oz (81.08 %ile)
Height: 27 1/4 (50.17 %ile)
HC: 17 3/4 (81.8 %ile)

Briggs can:

• sit up all by myself (for 5+ minutes)
• wave my hand
• roll all over the place
• scoot by rocking back and forth (we are doing intervals at night with him to work on scooting forward because his cousin has learned to army crawl..can't have him beating us..haha)
• put my paci in all by myself
• eating baby food 3x a day (I eat 4-5 times a day which has made life for mommy so much easier)
• loves to stand (actually prefers it to sitting or laying down)
• LOVES to smile
• has the sweetest little chuckle and babbles with all kinds of noises and squeals
• has learned to poke out his bottom lip when mommy or daddy leave him at church or school
• loves people and smiles at anybody who will look his way
• reaches for mommy and daddy (it often turns into a game to reach between the two of us)
  

I'm sure you can guess...this picture is before the shots. I included a few other pictures of Briggs with all different kinds of people. He sure is turning into Mister Popular these days.


Briggs with Doctor Lytle (pediatrician)


Briggs with Ms. Jane (the Physical Therapist. Dr. Lytle discovered Briggs' neck was a little tight on one side so we went to see Ms. Jane a few times to get some neck stretches).


We went back to visit Doctor Swindle (the doctor who delivered Briggs)...he thought she was funny :)



And we are sad to say...Briggs was promoted to a new class after the Christmas holidays. I'm sure we will love his new teachers but we miss Ms. Donna and Ms. Amy. So here are our new teachers.

As you can see...Briggs gets his nickname honest...Mr. Smiley. Love this little boy. He is such a joy in our life and has touched many others' lives as well. Can't wait to see how the Lord uses Him in this world.
