Six Month Checkup

I think most people know this from an earlier post, or if you just know me...that I got to share my first pregnancy with my little sister, and best friend. It wasn't planned that way...just worked out and has been so much fun.

Here is a picture that brings back some memories...looks like I swallowed a basketball and I promise...my sister IS pregnant...that's not a shadow on her shiny shirt. This is one of Briggs and Brooks first pictures together...aren't they cute :)



And here they are July 4th all tucked in the nap nanny (for those of you saying.."the what?"..that's the chair they are sitting in). That would make them both about 6 weeks old..give or take a week.






Today was our 6 month checkups and shots...BOO! Briggs did really good and was all smiles until they started messing with him..poor baby :(

Things we are doing now...

• rolling all over the floor
• reaching for mommy and daddy
• crying when mommy leaves the room
• crossing midline while holding objects
• laughing out loud
• jabbering, cooing and gooing
  
• can sit up by himself 10+ seconds
• he has some crazy little scream/squeal he likes to do ALL DAY LONG but I like the sweet little sounds...just saying...he has found his "big boy voice" as his teacher says
• and of course he gets so stinking cute with every day
• Our stats today were:

head circum: 17 1/4

weight: 18lb 9 oz (70th %ile)

height: 27 in (70th %ile)

And here is Briggs' older cousin, Brooks (by only one week to the day). We are about to have a big trip to Florida where we will get to play, roll, jabber, eat and hang out....WE CAN'T WAIT!!!

Brooks and his big brother Cade don't get enough blog time..I'll try to do a better job at that..but anyway, today Brooks and Briggs both went to the doctor for checkups. Brooks is doing all kinds of fun stuff just like Briggs. It's been so fun to share pregnancies, birth, and now stories of our babies growing up with my sister. Just wanted to give Brooks some blog time and give his stats from today:

Head circ: 97th percentile (she didn't send me the #)

weight: 17lb 130z (50th %tile)

height: 26 1/4 in (25-50th %ile)

I couldn't put Brooks on here and leave Cade out. So...here are Briggs' older cousins. They are too cute! If they look like they might be kind of REALLY CLOSE IN AGE...well, you're thinking right. They are 13 months apart! Yep...BIG SIGH...my sister definitely has her hands full. But she will be the first to tell you...she loves her boys more than life itself, she is a fabulous mom and even though it's harder some days than others, it's really fun to have them so close together.

As you can all see...these are some of the cutest kids...EVER! It's always fun to compare stories, numbers and pictures. As I said earlier..I'll try to do a better job of getting these kiddos some more blog time. I'm sure we will have lots of pics and fun things to share from next week in Florida so stay tuned :)
